Eva Helene Pade
10.04.25 – 31.08.25

It is not every day that an artist who graduated from art academy in the spring of 2024 already has their first exhibition a year later. But that is exactly what happens for Eva Helene Pade, when she opens Spring Sacrifice at ARKEN in April. The exhibition Spring Sacrifice is inspired by the ballet Le sacre du printemps with music by Igor Stravinsky, as staged by the German choreographer Pina Bausch in 1975.

Season Opening:
18.30 Doors open, free museum access
18.30 Suli (DJ)
19.00 Opening speech
19.30 Miriam Adefris (Live)
20.00 Fergus Jones (DJ)
21.30 Thank you for tonight

The musical contribution will be provided by the London-based Austrian-Ethiopian harpist Miriam Adefris. Miriam is an exciting new figure on the musical scene, positioned between jazz, world music, and electronic sounds, and often performs with artists such as Floating Points, Shabaka Hutchings, and Ganavya. Also look forward to a DJ set by Scottish producer Fergus Jones, who, behind one of the best albums of 2024, Ephemera, has been featured in numerous independent music media. The program is presented in collaboration with the Parisian record label and curatorial platform Latency, whose founder, Suli, will also be behind the decks for the evening.
