Can art change the way we see nature and our place in it? Join us for an exciting talk where curator Jenny Lund delves into the exhibition Solarstalgia and Julian Charrière's unique artistic practice. Charrière combines the romantic landscapes of art history with scientific methods to create works that examine the relationship between humans and nature in an era marked by climate change.
The talk provides an insight into the creative and engineering processes behind building the complex installations, which range from sensor-controlled plants to fossil materials.
At the same time, the field of tension between art and science, the poetic and the concrete — and how Charrière's works invite us to reflect on time, nature and our place in the world, is explored.
Duration: Approx. 50 minutes.
The lecture takes place in the movie theater.
