As Director of Collections and Director of Tate Modern, Frances Morris led the effort to create a global and multidisciplinary collection for 21st century audiences in London. In her talk, she will reflect on the success of this project while calling for a reassessment of the principles guiding collections and exhibitions, with a focus on climate challenges and social inclusion.
As Tate Modern approaches its 25th anniversary, she argues that a new model is required to ensure museums remain relevant and useful to the communities they serve.

The talk is the second event in the series Collecting for the Future, which explores the public museum collection, its challenges, and its future.

The talk will be held in English and is free with museum admission, but please book your ticket in the webshop here.

The series is supported by the Danish Arts Foundation.
